BLYTHE, Calif. - Ironwood State Prison (ISP) announces Sergeant John Mooney as Supervisor of the Month for April 2014. Mooney is a 20-year veteran of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). He started his career at Ironwood State Prison (ISP) as a correctional officer in January of 1994 and was an instrumental part of the activation team.

The convicted car thief and his fiancee are prevented from tying the knot because of a new state law that bans proxy marriages, which were common among prisoners because they allowed a couple to use a stand-in for the inmate.
