Associated Press-- A Pelican Bay State Prison inmate already serving a life term got another 10 years tacked onto his sentence after he pleaded guilty in a prison guard attack.

Imperial Valley News-- United States Attorney Laura E. Duffy announced that on December 15, 2011, a federal grand jury in San Diego handed up an indictment against David Santos Zamudio, II, a medical office technician for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (“CDCR”). Mr. Zamudio worked primarily at Calipatria State Prison in Imperial County, California. Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Zamudio earlier today.
